The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Sim Fubara of disrespecting President Bola Tinubu amid his rift with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
The APC Caretaker committee Chairman in the state, Tony Okocha, stated that Fubara has not fulfilled all the proclamations made by Tinubu at the peace deal with Wike.
Okocha highlighted that Fubara's refusal to present the Rivers State 2024 budget to a properly constituted Rivers State House of Assembly under Rt Hon Martin Amaewhule, as well as the delay in conducting Local Government Elections, shows disrespect for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The APC Rivers strongly condemned Fubara's act of disobedience and warned against likely fallouts from this issue.
