As You Begin 2017: 5 Things You Mustn’t Get Twisted In Life Part 1

The New Year 2017 has no ability to be different from the years before it on its own; neither can it translate into a better life, leadership or business for you without your own input. Years after year, we preoccupy ourselves with New Year resolutions; hoping very strongly those new resolutions will make our experiences new. However, there is more to life than mere injections of new resolutions; and there is definitely more to life than mere wishes from us. All other things being equal, 2017 may as well be like 2016 for anyone – anyone who refuses to change his or her cloth from 31^st of December to 1^st of January, would have entered the New Year with an old apparel or clothing. Although, we often overlook this, many of us hardly change in the New Year – we think same thoughts, associate with same people, and share same gist! The question is, “What then is new about the New Year?” Let me say very clearly – the New Year is not a new thing (or product) that can be bought; neither is it a new level to be promoted into. In actual fact, the New Year is just a new opportunity to do new things, think new thoughts, create new atmosphere for yourself, reach out to new people, and start new things. In short, a New Year is a New Opportunity! The question then is, “Do we usually appreciate the new opportunities we get from God each time we enter the New Years?” Life is all about making choices and witnessing (experiencing) its consequences. Each time we enter a New Year; we simply being given opportunity to make new choices or change or cancel old ones. If all we do each New Year is to merry over our good old choices or mourn over our bad old choices; how then will our circumstances become different or better. Over the next few moments, I will be sharing things you must never get twisted in the New Year.
