We'll keep striving until LP governs, and delivers quality leadership - Abure

The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure, expressed his commitment to leading the party to take over power in Nigeria and provide quality governance. He highlighted the current challenges faced by Nigerians, such as high inflation, unemployment, and food scarcity. Abure emphasized that the root cause of these issues is bad leadership and mentioned the irony of exporting crude oil only to import refined products.

During his address in Umuahia, Abia State, after meeting with Governor Alex Otti and the National Working Committee of LP, he stressed the need for a leadership that would address poverty and hunger while empathizing with the citizens.

Abure pointed out the contrast between the high cost of living and the minimum wage in Nigeria, referencing how a bag of rice now sells for N120,000, while the minimum wage stands at N30,000. He also highlighted the increase in prices of staple foods like yam, which has risen from N500 to N1200 per tuber. These figures and statements underscore the urgency for a new leadership that can tackle these pressing issues and improve the living conditions of Nigerians.
